Plumbers require to be a good listener who will give customers their full attention so fewer chances of mistakes. Plumbers should have the ability to make the right decisions in the required situations while using good judgment. In few situations, a plumber may have to keep a check on gauges or knobs while doing the mending or installation tasks. Also, the occupation carries a risk of injuries that is higher than usual and plumbers should be able to emphasis on finishing the task in the safest and quickest manner possible.

Personal Qualities
Plumbers need to be reliable, making sure all work is completed responsibly and that all requirements are met as specified. The occupation needs someone who is detail-oriented and systematic while working on projects. Plumbers most of the time work alone and have a little direct supervision, so they need to be self-motivated to perform a job correctly, safely and in a restricted time. Since problems are sometimes more complicated than anticipated, plumbers should possess the perseverance required to see the job through to a successful end.
